This course is aimed at those wishing to understand more about affordable housing and housing development. Whether very new to the sector or not in the sector but wanting to find out more:

1. What is affordable (social) housing and who is it for ?

2. Who is responsible for delivering housing?

3. How is affordable housing paid for?

4. What is 'Planning' in the UK?

5. How do we make sure housing is safe and comfortable?

6. Private (open market) housing development

7. Jargon and myths

We will also have plenty of time for discussion about anything that is relevant to the subject, the idea of this training is for attendees to find out things that they want or need to understand. The trainer has many years of experience in delivering all types of housing.

The purpose of the course is to explain jargon, debunk myths and create a friendly environment for all the 'stupid' questions we don't like to ask colleagues.

This course is aimed at those with little or no knowledge of social housing or development.
