The course covers all aspects of project management and is aimed at delegates that have successfully passed the Project Fundamentals Qualification, it is assessed via a 2.5 remote examination. 

The APM Project Management Qualification (SQCF Level 7) is a qualification aimed at project professionals who are looking to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of all key areas of project management.

The qualification is intended to help you achieve knowledge and understanding of all areas of project management that will support you when you are involved in projects from individual assignments through to large capital projects. You’ll learn how project management elements interact and how projects fit into a strategic and commercial environment.

This course is suitable for:

1. Development / regeneration / asset management staff involved in delivering projects who have not had training in formal project management
2. Senior executives and Board members who want an overview of project management, to better understand good practice
3. Housing Management, Lettings, Sales, Maintenance or Community Regeneration staff who contribute to the development of new housing scheme or have to deliver other projects (such as a review of void management processes, establishing an effective Resident Panel, re-tendering Term Contracts etc)
4. Anyone intending to progress to the professionally-recognised Project Management Qualification

Candidates must have undertaken the Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) before attending this course.

Duration: 6 day classroom course including Revision and Practice session in preparation for 2.5 hour online exam 

This is a classroom-based course with required reading of the APM Project Management Qualification Learner Study Pack in preparation.

The 6 days will be split accordingly:

The APM Project Management Qualification is assessed through a 2.5 hour online exam with an optional break of up to 30 minutes between the two parts of the exam, undertaken independently ideally the day after the course. Please click here for information on preparing for the exam: 

Online examinations: what to expect

Candidates must have undertaken the Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ)

Joining instructions are sent to delegates approximately 4 weeks before the course start date. Delegates should read the PMQ Learner Pack at least once and complete the short answer questions before the course - 14 hours of precourse study is required. 

All trainees will be provided with:

1. One copy of the APM’s PMQ Learner Pack  for the course - please provide an appropriate delivery address in the booking form so we can send this to all delegates
2. A comprehensive handout in electronic format

Candidates must have undertaken the Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ)

Project Management Qualification issued by the Association for Project MAnagement (RQF level 4, SCQF level 7)

Optional associate/full membership of the Association for Project Management (subject to work assessment and fee)
