Purpose of role

M3Pamwin Plus is a comprehensive development software covering quick offer appraisals, site valuations or complex multi-tenure projects, then enabling users to manage cashflow through live programme performance. The system provides a single source of information allowing you to bring the entire development programme together in one place, including visibility and viability for pipeline, approved and completed projects.

This temporary to permanent role requires development of reports that are required by our clients for appraising and project managing large and varied social housing development programmes.

The reporting analyst will meet our clients' complex reporting requirements in MS Excel, Power BI and other reporting platforms. You will be part of a small, but business crucial team aiding users and colleagues with day-to-day support tasks as well as project related work.

In light of the current environment, the role will be home based initially, with a view to a more office based role.

The role will include:

  • Creating reports requested by clients and consultants in MS Excel and Power BI from SQL databases
  • Providing support to existing clients, working with them to enhance and update existing reports
  • Liaising with clients and consultants to identify and fully understand reporting requirements
  • Checking data maps correctly from data imports and exports and validating
  • Ensuring any new reports are tested and checked for compatibility with the relevant M3 software versions before issuing
  • Managing version controls for standard reports
  • Assisting with the maintainance of complex appraisal spreadsheets
  • Assisting with system releases, including testing and documentation as required, providing support to our clients and colleagues

Report Writing

  • Responding to client report requests, agreeing and understanding the brief
  • Creating and applying tests for new reports
  • Checking compatibility of new and standard reports with new releases of M3 software and MS Excel
  • Identifying new data fields or required changes to data structures and logging them in the user request system,

Managing version controls of standard reports & go live reports for new implementations

  • Maintaining the standard suite of reports issued with the software
  • Checking with new releases of software
  • Updating version log for ‘Go live’ reports at the point of handover to the client


  • Providing support to our clients, technical team and  M3 Pamwin team, answering client queries where possible
  • Assisting testing new features for new releases


  • Ensuring M3 meets its service level obligations
  • Ensuring M3 meets its GDPR requests from clients
  • Performing other duties as required by your Manager



  • Experience and detailed knowledge of querying MS SQL databases for reporting
  • Experience with MS Excel spreadsheets using complex formulae, pivot tables, lnking to SQL databases via ODB and user friendly designs
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure and organise work efficiently to prioritise demands
  • An understanding of database design
  • Understanding of SQL server database administration


  • Experience of using Power BI to create reports
  • VBA coding and macros
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 
  • Experience of social housing financial appraisals
