“Housing investment appraisal” 2nd edition available

M3's Managing Director Dave Treanor has written the latest edition of Housing Investment Appraisal published by the National Housing Federation.

The development of social housing is the riskiest part of an association's work, so it is vitally important that everyone involved in making investment decisions understands housing investment appraisal.

This guide explores the different types of financial methodologies used, and the most appropriate type of financial appraisal for different types of property and investment scenarios. It will be of particular interest to decision-makers involved in developing asset management strategies as part of the business planning process, including finance directors, senior maintenance, development and housing managers in both local authorities and housing associations. 

Dave has been involved in the appraisal of social housing since the earliest use of private finance in the sector, and was part of the Federation team that negotiated the terms on which grant was first combined with private finance in the eighties.
