M3Pamwin Plus User Event

M3Pamwin Plus has been dramatically improved, with better navigation, lots of new features, and a major overhaul of the way it looks and feels. The new version, 2.9, has gone live in two sites, and we would encourage you to begin the upgrade process on or after 17 January 2014, to take advantage of the new features as quickly as possible, and give us your feedback – we are still accepting change requests.

What does 2.9 contains?

For appraisal

• Tabbed multi-tenure appraisal
  • One tab per tenure, site totals always visible
  • Add new Schemes (tenures) straight into a Project (site) appraisal
  • No need to swap backwards and forwards between Schemes and Projects
• Better KPIs / hurdles
  • Statistics such as build cost per m2 always visible
  • Project KPIs seen alongside Scheme KPIs, to enable analysis of performance of parts of a site against the whole
• Dependencies between dates
  • Set up tasks or stages and link them
  • Now has Exchange of Contracts milestone date
• New Menu structure
  • File – Open, New, Save
  • Fewer menus on the left – one Appraisal menu contains all icons required
• My Pamwin enhanced
  • now opens Projects (sites), instead of Schemes (tenures)
• New colours, icons
  • System has a much cleaner feel

For project management

• Tabbed multi-tenure on-site management
  • One tab per tenure, or tables that group and sub-total transactions, balances by tenure
• New Menu structure
  • One Management menu contains all icons required to manage on site
• My Pamwin enhanced
  • now opens Projects (sites), instead of Schemes (tenures)
• More action prompts
  • Projects Requiring Action prompts when the following are due: Stages, Payments, Handovers, Sales, If a scheme has been neglected for X months
• Cashflows can be readopted (re-baselined) without overwriting the original approved cash flow
• Programme Management (selections) completely split out from site appraisal (Projects)
  • New, separate menu
  • Opening a selection triggers a second M3Pamwin window – run reports in one, then carry on working in first window
• Selection screen has a search facility, in addition to current filter

Why should you upgrade now?

2.9 is the best version of M3Pamwin Plus we have ever produced. It addresses the majority of the change requests we have received over the last few years, particularly from appraisers.

Most of you install new versions of M3Pamwin Plus in a test environment first, either due to your IT procedures, or so you can confirm that your data outputs remain the same in old and new versions. If you adopt this approach, and let your users play with 2.9 in test, there is a good chance that any changes they desire will have been incorporated by the time you decide to go live.

The sooner you install 2.9, the sooner your users can give feedback, and see their appraisal and project management needs met.

How do you upgrade?

Anyone on M3Pamwin Plus 2.7 or above can upgrade immediately without help from M3 (although we’re always happy to assist if required). You follow the standard procedure of running an upgrade script on the database, then copying the new application files onto the website and client machines.
